My Weekend: The Jubilee

The four day bank holiday weekend was set to be epic. Extra time off work to celebrate everything British, with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, extra time to remember loved ones, with a family BBQ, extra time to spend with friends, and of course, extra time to enjoy the great British summer! However a bucket load of rain wasn't about to stop me enjoying the extra time off...
Saturday.

All the fun of the fair...
The rain held off long enough for me and some friends to enjoy the funfair.
Ok i know it was the Jubilee, and all things British, but i just couldn't resist standing out from the Union Jacks in this American Stars and Stripes t-shirt...I did however keep the Queen in mind by picking out these Crown encrusted jeans..

Following the fair was a few Margaritas with friends in the pub.

Sunday.
A quick shopping splurge on Sunday brought about these little beauts from Republic, and i just couldn't resist...

Despite the rain on Sunday, the BBQ went ahead and we hung out with some family, remembering loved ones, and celebrating the Jubilee too...

Monday Movies.
We went to see The Avengers in 3D on Monday. Although i was sceptical, this movie was awesome. I chose to wear my new pale green skinny jeans...

I am really loving High-Tops at the moment, so i opted to wear these gorgeous cream with pink flower detail High-Tops, from River Island.

Another Shopping Spree.
A new small shopping centre has opened up in Bury St Edmunds, i'd never properly been shopping in Bury before, and after hearing nothing but good things about shopping there, i had to check it out.

I found these studded heels in Jane Norman, i love them...they are now on my wish list!!
What do you think?
Bury was a lovely place to shop, i really love wondering around little towns, down a maze of side streets, finding little boutiques full of hidden gems. Bury was great.

The Royals.
Of course i could not talk about the Jubilee weekend without mentioning The Royals. One Royal inparticular managed to cause quite a stir in the press with her choice of outfits, and all i can say is...Good On Her!!!
The Duchess Of Cambridge looked so beautiful in a vibrant red Alexanda McQueen dress.

Reports have appeared before claiming that Kate doesn't dress for her age, saying that she dresses too old. However when she stepped out in this gorgeous McQueen dress and nude heels, reports appeared saying that she was attemping to steal the show by wearing such a strong colour compaired with the Queen, Camilla, and some of the other Royals. Other reports appeared saying that she had stolen her style from Tulisa and Kim Kardashian.

I think Kate chose her dress well, and the decision to wear the sleeves and to change the neckline was brilliant. Kate made the dress hers, upstaging both Tulisa and Kim, and giving the dress the Royal class required for such an event. The next McQueen dress she chose was even better...

Kate looked absolutely gorgeous in this nude lace McQueen dress. I think Kate can do no wrong in McQueen, what do you think? Which do you prefer?
